Power divider inter-
Plug (2)
a.
Place container underneath to catch
mediate case (1)
draining oil.
b.
Using 1/2-inch drive ratchet handle,
unscrew and take out.
c.
Allow oil to drain.
d.
Get rid of oil (page 2-46).
2.
Upper bearing
Four screws (5)
a.
Using 3/8-inch drive-pin punch and
cap (3) and lower
and two lock-
2-lb ball-peen hammer, flatten tabs.

b.
Using 9/16-inch socket and ratchet
handle with 3/8-inch drive, unscrew
and take out.
c.
Get rid of lockplates (6).
3.
Propeller shaft
Upper bearing
a.
Place hydraulic jack under propeller
yoke (7)
cap (3)
shaft (8) near yoke (7), and place
wood block between.
b.
Using hydraulic jack, carefully raise
shaft (8) until cap (3) is forced out
of yoke (7).
c.
Using angle-nose slip-joint pliers,
gently twist out cap (3).
d.
Remove jack.
4.
Lower bearing
a.
Place wood block against yoke finger
cap (4)
(9) and with 2-lb ball-peen hammer,
strike sharply to force out cap (4).
Make sure you strike evenly so cap does not
jam in yoke.
5.
Mating yoke (10)
Propeller shaft
a.
Tip universal cross and slide out.

b.
Carefully set propeller shaft (8)
down.
