New gasket (6)
Put in position.

and output shaft

103. Bearing
Four new lock-
Using 9/16-inch socket and torque wrench
retainer (8)
washers (9) and
with 1/2-inch drive, screw in and tighten
screws (10)
to 30 - 40 ft-lb (41 - 54 N m) of torque.
104. Yoke (11)
Propeller shaft (12)
a. With help from assistant, put in
position and support with hydraulic
jack.
b. Tip universal cross (13) forward and
slide yoke (14) into yoke (11).
105.
Upper bearing cap
Using 3-lb ball-peen hammer and wood
(15) and lower
block, tap sharply into place.

106. Upper and lower
Two new locking
a.
Put on plates (17).

b.
Using 9/16-inch socket and ratchet
(15) and (16)
four screws (18)
handle with 1/2-inch drive, screw in
and tighten screws.
c.
Using 3-!b ball-peen hammer and
3/8-inch drive-pin punch, bend up
lock plate tabs.
d.
Remove hydraulic jack.
