Attach hoist with lifting cables.

Using lifting equipment, put in
position.
Tilt assembly to allow ring gear
to pass pinion gear.

Two bearing
Screw in, handtight, against bearings (4).

Four dowels (5)
Note location and put in place.

Note matchmarks and put in correct
caps (6)
position.

Two bearing
Four screws (7)
Screw in, and tighten using 13/16-inch
caps (6)
socket and ratchet handle with 1/2-inch
drive.

Differential carrier
Two bearing
Tighten each adjuster alternately using
(1) and two bearing
adjusters (3)
24-inch pry bar, and, at the same ti me
caps (6)
turn ring gear (8).
Tighten adjusters until all end
play is gone.
85.
Two bearing caps (6)
Four screws (7)
Tighten to 150-160 ft-lb. (203-217 N m)
of torque using 13/16-inch socket and
torque wrench with 1/2-inch drive.
