Woodruff key (8)
Put in.

Lower steering a.
Put knuckle (4) in machinist's vise.
knuckle (4)

Line up key (8) with keyway, and put in.

Lower steering
Nut (9)
Screw in until snug, and tighten to 350-400
arm (2)
ft-lb (474-542 N m) of torque using
1 7/8-inch socket and torque wrench
with 3/4-inch drive.
35.
New cotter pin (10)
Put in, and bend back ends over nut using
angle-nose slip-joint pliers.
You may have to back off nut so
holes line up.
NOTE
Steps 36 thru 39 are only used for left side steering knuckle. If you are assembling right side knuckle, go on
to step 40.
