Two new packings
a.
Lubricate with oil soluble grease.

Put on so lips face pressure side of
piston (1).

Adapter housing (4)
First clutch
Aline lug on piston (1) with recess in
piston (1)
housing and put in.
12.
First clutch
26 springs (5)
Put in position.
piston (1)
13.
Spring retainer (6)
a.
Put in position.
b.
Using first and low clutch compressor
tool, press on retainer.
14.
Adapter housing (4)
Snapring (7)
Using 3/8-inch flat-tip screwdriver,
put in.
NOTE
FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE: Install low range clutch and planetary adapter (page 2-650).
