Output shaft
Hold prop shaft adapter (3), and using
nut (2)
2 1/8-inch socket and torque multi-
plier wrench with 3/4-inch drive, take
off.
Nut has been tightened to over 500
ft-lb. (678 N m) of torque.

Prop shaft
Take off.

Output shaft bearing
Take out.

Take off.

Spring pin (9)
a.
Using slip-joint pliers, pull out.
b.
Get rid of.
NOTE
Do not perform steps (6), (7), and (8) unless part replacement is necessary.

Output shaft
Using an arbor press, press off.

Roller bearing (10)
a.
Using rear bearing remover, take out .
b.
Get rid of.
8.
Cap plug (11)
a.
Using 3/8-inch flat-tip screwdriver
pry out.
b.
Get rid of.

Rear cover
Snapring (12)
a.
Position cover (4) front side up.

Using low and first clutch compressor
tool and 3/8-inch flat-tip screwdriver,
take out.
c.
Carefully release low and first clutch,
and take out.
10.
Spring retainer (13)
Take out.
