Four new lock plates
a Screw in until snug using 7/16-inch
(6) and eight
socket, 3-inch extension, and ratchet
handle with 1/2-inch drive.
b. Using 7/16-inch socket, 3-inch exten-
sion, and torque wrench with 1/2-inch
drive, tighten to 9-11 ft-lb (12-15
N m) of torque.
c. Using ball-peen hammer and 1/2-inch
cold hand chisel, pry up tabs.
New packing (8)
Bearing race (9)
a. Apply oil soluble grease.
and bearing (10)
b. Put in position.
a. If bearing (12) was removed, place new
bearing into stator bore.
b. Using stator thrust bearing installer
tool, press the bearing into the bore
until the tool bottoms in bore.
