a. Look for bent, cracked, and loose
vanes.
b. Look for damaged internal spline teeth.
c. Look for worn or damaged bearing
surfaces.

Stator (2)
a. Look for cracked vanes.
b. Look for loose external ring.
c. Look for worn or damaged internal cam
surfaces.
d. Look for worn or damaged bearing
surfaces.
ASSEMBLY
NOTE
All torque converter parts must be lubricated with clean transmission oil before assembly.

Impeller
New gasket (4)
Place in position, lining up holes.
