Lower relay (8)
a
Look for burned or pitted contact
points.
b.
Look for burned, missing, or damaged
coil wrapping.
c.
Press down on armature (9) several
times to check switching action.
Switch tabs and should lock back,
lock back, next time armature
is pressed, switch tabs and should
should lock forward.
d.
Using multimeter set on RX 1 scale,
touch one probe to each coil terminal
(10) and (11).
Multimeter should show continuity.
e.
With upper switch spring (12) in back
position, use multimeter set on RX 1
scale to check continuity between
terminal (13) and terminal (14).
Multimeter should show continuity.
f.
Push down on armature (9) to lock
front position. Using multimeter
set in RX 1 position, check for
continuity between terminal (15) and
left center terminal (16).
Multimeter should show Infinite
