Upper relay (1)
a  Look for burned or pitted points.
b.
Look for burned, missing, or damaged
coil wrapping.
c.
Check action of armature springs by
pressing in the middle of armature (2).
Armature (2) should spring
back when released.
d.
Using multimeter set on RX 1 scale,
touch one probe to each coil terminal
(3) and (4).
Multimeter should show continuity.
e.
Using multimeter set on RX 1 scale,
touch red probe to bottom right
terminal (5) and black probe to top
rear terminal (6).
Multimeter should show continuity.
f.
Still holding probes in place from
52e, push down on armature (2).
Multimeter should show infinite
g.
With armature (2) still held down,
touch black probe to top front ter-
minal (7).
Multimeter should show continuity.
h.
Release armature with probes still
held as in 52f.
Multimeter should show infinite
