Governor springs are under pressure. Release slowly. Parts can fly out striking you and others
causing injury.
NOTE
Tag governor springs when removing to insure installing in original positions.

Flyweight post (9)
Cylinder nut (10)
Using governor spring adjusting wrench,
and outer spring
unscrew and take out nut (10) while holding
seat (11)
seat (11) in place.
58.
Outer spring
Let up slowly, and take out.

Two maximum speed
a.
Take out.
flyweight (12)
springs (13) and
b.
Tag.
(14) and idle
spring (15)

Two washers (16),
a.
Turn flyweight (12) over, tap with
spring seat (17),
plastic-face hammer to jar loose, and
and two shims (18)
let slide out.
It may be necessary to fill with clean
diesel fuel to loosen parts.
b.
Repeat steps 56 thru 59 for opposite
side of flyweight (12).
