NOTE

Solvent burns easily. Solvent fumes can explode. Do not smoke or allow open flame nearby when using solvent.
Failure to observe these precautions could cause serious injury and death.
20. All metal parts
a.
Clean in drycleaning solvent.
b.
Wipe dry with clean, dry rags.
INSPECTION/REPLACEMENT
NOTE

Replace damaged parts as necessary.
21.
Shaft (6) and idler
a.
Look for cracks, breaks, nicks, and
shaft (7)
bends.
b.
Using micrometer, measure shaft (6)
diameter.
Diameter must be 0.4905 - 0.4912-
Inch (12.459 - 12.476 mm).
c.
Using ribbon thickness gage, check
shaft (6) clearance in body bore.
Clearance must be 0.0013 to 0.003-
inch (0.033 to 0.076 mm).
