Take off.

Woodruff key (5)
Using ball-peen hammer and 1/4-inch
drive-pin punch, tap out.

Solvent burns easily. Solvent fumes can explode. Do not smoke or allow open flame nearby when using solvent.
Failure to observe these precautions could cause serious Injury or death.
10.
All metal parts
a. Clean in drycleaning solvent.
b. Wipe dry with clean, dry rags.
INSPECTION/REPLACEMENT
NOTE
For more information on how to inspect parts, go to General Maintenance Instructions (page 2-46).
Replace damaged parts as necessary.
Camshaft, crankshaft, and injection pump drive gears are provided in matched sets and should only be installed as
sets. If gears are replaced, replace the camshaft also.

Camshaft (6)
a. Look for worn and out-of-round
journals.
b. Look for worn, chipped, and scored
lobes.
12.
Spacer (7)
Look for cracks and wear.
