If only slightly scored and otherwise in

good condition, clean up scoring with

crocus cloth.

NOTE

Piston and cylinder block measurements should be taken at room temperature of 72F (22C).

Piston (1)

Using outside micrometer caliper with

3 1/2 to 5-inch range, measure and write

down piston skirt diameter.

32.

Cylinder block

Using inside micrometer caliper with 3 1/2-

bore (3)

to 5-inch range, measure and write down

bore diameter.

Normal new cylinder block bore

diameter is 4.5 inches (114.3

mm).
