MALFUNCTION
TEST OR INSPECTION

20. MONITOR LIGHT STAYS ON - CONTINUED
Step 3.
Test wiring for faulty computer module (7) or (5).
a.
Remove cover (3) from faulty computer module (7) or (5) closest to
front of vehicle using flat-tip screwdriver.
b.
Connect voltmeter to terminal (13) and frame (12), and have assis-
tant turn key switch (9) on.
c.
Check meter reading, and disconnect.
d.
If meter reading was not 9 - 14 volts, have assistant turn key switch
(9) off, and repair or replace harness (14) as needed
e.
Connect voltmeter to terminal (13) and ground terminal (15), check
reading, and disconnect.
f.
Have assistant turn key switch (9) off.
g.
If meter reading was not 9 - 14 volts, repair or replace ground wire
(16) as needed (TM 9-2320-269-20-1).
NOTE
To test computer module with an external rfi filter, go to step 5.
