Step 1.
Test modulator valve (8) operation - Continued
c.
Take vehicle for test drive, and note shifting action.
d.
If shifting action was smooth, repair or replace modulator valve (8)
as needed (page 2-803).
e.
Take dust covers out of housing (5) and modulator valve (8).
f.
Move modulator valve (8) and retainer (9) into place, and put on
using 112-inch socket and ratchet handle with 318-inch drive.
Step 2.
Inspect control valve assembly (10).
a.
Remove (page 2-650).
b.
Inspect and repair, or replace as needed (page 2-713).
c.
Install (page 2-650).

Inspect modulator valve (8).

b.
