Exterior surface
Inspect the exterior surface. It should be free of paint damage, dust, dirt, and grease. Refer to
paragraphs 54 and 5-8 for painting and cleaning instructions. Check that interconnecting wiring or
wiring conduit is secure and that AC POWER indicator is illuminated.  Notify direct support
maintenance personnel of any discrepancy.

Control unit interior
Visually inspect enclosure for presence of moisture, corrosion, dust, and other foreign matter.
Visually check condition of wiring. It should be properly laced and free of frayed, deteriorated, and
discolored insulation. Notify direct support maintenance personnel of any discrepancy.
